Although not quite like Amazon Prime in the sense that books and movies are not available, Newegg is marketing it new shipping service, dubbed Newegg Premier, as a competitor. The new service offered by Newegg will cost customers $50 per year, which is cheaper than Amazon currently as it sells its Prime membership for $79 annually. Members of Newegg Premier can expect some benefits, to include free shipping of packages that are guaranteed to arrive in three days or less, discounts on two day and one day deliveries, free returns, no restocking fee, exclusive deals, dedicated customer service, and special alerts. While the program is currently in beta status, customers are able to sign up for the service now.

The package that Newegg Premier offers is enticing, especially to those who frequent Newegg often for computer parts and other items that the online retailer now sells. It is worth noting that Super Eggsaver shipping is still available for customers who do not subscribe to Newegg Premier.

That's funny, because I tend to stick to mostly free shipping anyways.
