In a recent announcement made by Microsoft, Satya Nadella is now the new chief executive officer for the company, replacing Steve Ballmer as he enters retirement. Nadella has been at Microsoft for some time, being employed within miscellaneous roles at the technology giant ever since 1992. Before assuming the position the chief executive officer, Nadella worked at Microsoft as the executive vice president of the company’s cloud and enterprise group. Bill Gates has agreed to work closely and directly with Nadella, stepping down from his previous chairman role and identifying himself as the founder of Microsoft and the technology advisor for the company.
Satya Nadella is attempting to bring the company to a blank slate before any future changes are made under his leadership, overhauling the company into a devices and services as company as well as structuring the organization into a one team entity.
