Based out of Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Cellular has announced its new unlimited no-contract plan for specific phones that the regional carrier offers. The new plan costs $50 a month and offers unlimited talk, text, and data, though data speeds are reduced after 500MB of data is used. The plan includes various free features such as caller ID, call waiting, international dialing, international text messaging, national long distance, and three-way calling. As of right now, the plan only covers certain phones, to include the Kyocera Hydro XTRM, Motorola Moto X, and Samsung Galaxy Axiom. The ZTE Director is also compatible with the plan, but is the only phone available for the new U.S. Cellular plan without LTE functionality. In the future, U.S. Cellular will expand the plan to include more LTE phones, but has not specified a more definitive timeframe.
