In a recent report confirmed by Google, DeepMind has been purchased by the major search engine company for $400 million, though terms of the agreement were not revealed. DeepMind is a somewhat secretive artificial intelligence company reportedly containing a team of at least 50 employees. The company was founded by neuroscientist and games prodigy Demis Hassabis, along with Mustafa Suleyman and Shane Legg. Hassabis has been featured in headlines before, reported by the Mind Sports Olympiad to be the best games player in history. According to company LinkedIn page, DeepMind is roughly three years old but has only a landing page for a website that describes its business.  DeepMind specializes in e-commerce, games, and learning algorithms for various simulators.
