According to Facebook, the formula behind News Feed is getting changed again. The changes to the formula involve page owners mainly, where their text-only status updates will be delivered to a smaller amount of their followers. Chris Turitzin, News Feed Ranking Product Manager at Facebook, stated that while page managers may see decreases in terms of the overall distribution of their text-only statuses, they will see increases in the overall distribution and engagement of other story types. Page administrators are likely to be controversial to the change, since most administrators already feel negatively about what updates are delivered to users of the social media service. Facebook noted that the News Feed update is being made in order to match the actions and preferences of its members.
