As Beats Music launches today as previously announced, the service has revealed that the former music service it replaces, known as MOG, will soon stop accepting new subscribers. Beats Music has also noted on the Beats Knowledge Base that MOG will remain active until April 15, 2014, after which it will be officially shutdown and unavailable. Annual subscribers will receive a refund that will be prorated based on how many months of subscription service they have remaining, once the shutdown goes into effect. The goal being put forth by Beats Music is to convert as many MOG subscribers to the new platform as possible, and is even offering a free one month trial to existing MOG customers starting March 15, 2014.
