Futuristic Real-Time Strategy Etherium Get a Teaser Trailer
Tindalos Interactive, the indie studio behind online space RTS Stellar Impact, is currently developing a new futuristic RTS entitled Etherium and publisher Focus Home Interactive has released a teaser trailer today. Etherium features three playable factions (Consortium, Council, and Galaad), "each with its individual characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, technologies and special skills such as climate control, espionage and precognition."
Unlike Stellar Impact, which was online-only, Etherium will feature a non-linear solo campaign across seven diverse planets. Units include infantry, tanks, aircraft, and "colossi of war" that are several meters high, which sounds very Supreme Commander-esque. Perhaps most unique is the dynamic weather system, which can directly impact strategy, such as using a sandstorm as cover or crossing a freezing river. Besides the solo campaign, there will of course be online play as well for up to four players.
