Sharp Announces New Windows Tablet
Sharp has announced a new Windows tablet through their Japanese website, the Sharp RG-16G1. Although labeled as a tablet, the Sharp RG-16G1 features a 15.6-inch screen with an incredible 3200x1800 resolution, making it more pixel dense than the MacBook Retina display. Even with the display being so large, battery life is still substantial at nine hours. The tablet features hardware that is surprising for a tablet as well, utilizing an Intel Core i5-4200U processor, a 128GB SSD, and 4GB of RAM. Sharp has also included pen support with palm cancellation technology into the new RG-16G1 Windows tablet.
No price has been revealed for the new Sharp RG-16G1 Windows tablet, though it is due to be released in March. With the tablet being announced solely on the Sharp Japanese website, other markets may be excluded from release.
