German company be quiet! has announced the addition of three CPU coolers to the Dark Rock and Shadow Rock series of coolers, ranging in cooling capacity from 160W to 250W. The Dark Rock Pro 3 and Dark Rock 3 are both made with aluminum fins in conjunction with seven and six heatpipes, respectively. Both coolers are compatible with 120mm and 135mm fans, and be quiet! has chosen to include its Silent Wings PWM fans with each cooler. The key difference between the two coolers is the additional cooling tower found on the Dark Rock Pro 3. Both coolers were designed with noise level in mind with the Pro model topping out at 26.1 dB and the stock edition only hitting 21.1 dB. The Shadow Rock Slim features six heatpipes, aluminum fins, and a 135mm fan. It produces just 23.7 dB of sound and with a width of 74mm it is a great choice for systems with space concerns. The Dark Rock Pro 3 will have an MSRP of $89, the Dark Rock 3 will cost $69, and the Shadow Rock Slim will be $45.90.
