Taiwan based company ECS has introduced their new motherboard that is based on the Z87 chipset, the ECS Z87H3-M. The new motherboard includes display connections like DVI, HDMI, and VGA as well as expansion slot technologies such as four DDR3 1600 slots, two PCI Express x16 slots, one PCI Express x1 slot, and one PCI slot. Other notable connections include six SATA 6GB/s ports, one Gigabit LAN port, and one COM/serial port. The goal that ECS had in mind when developing this motherboard was the potential for expansions and upgrades that customers may want to perform.
This motherboard incorporates ECS Durathon technology as well, which ensures that the board undergoes stricter testing, uses a triple density moisture proof PCB, and is extremely temperature resistant. The Durathon technology built into the ECS Z87H3-M motherboard also provides solid capacitors and heavy-duty electrostatic discharge protection on LAN, USB, and VGA ports. Unique ECS features are also found on this motherboard and include EZ charger technology as well as the ECS iEZ utility, which ensures hassle-free BIOS updates, driver updates, and efficient fan speed management.
With worldwide availability starting this month, the ECS Z87H3-M motherboard carries an MSRP of $100.
