Promising a faster, more responsive and secure experience while using the cloud-storage service, Box has released new applications for the iPad and iPhone. The release of the new iOS applications compliments Box’s Android, Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, and mobile web products. Within the Box iOS applications the service incorporates real-time searching as well as the ability to search text within files. Users can also copy, move, and delete multiple files at once, all while having support for over 100 types of file formats. Vice President of Mobile Products at Box, David Still, noted within a company blog post that Box wants to continue to find ways to improve the process in which content is accessed and engaged by users.

While the improvements in the recent iOS applications are important for Box, it plans on bringing more customers to the service by offering 50GB of free storage with each download that the applications receive.
