As announced previously, support for the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System will end on April 8, 2014. After this date, users whom request support from Microsoft will have to pay an out-of-pocket expense in order to receive assistance. Additionally, Microsoft has now revealed that support for their popular Microsoft Security Essential software will be unavailable for Windows XP once support for the Operating System ends. Not only will support for the security software end, Microsoft noted that it will be unavailable to download for Windows XP users. While the free antivirus and antimalware software will be unavailable, other security software will be available to download for the aging Operating System in order to provide proper security.
