Mushkin has been showing off several new products at CES this week including a new memory heatsink and a pair of solid state drives. You can add a new flash drive to that list as Mushkin also presented the 480GB version of the Ventura Ultra line of USB 3.0 flash drives. The flash drives are powered by the LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller and can achieve read and write speeds up to 455MB/s and 445MB/s, respectively. The series was first introduced at CES last year in capacities ranging from 60GB to 240GB and it has remained a popular seller ever since. Director of Product Development Brian Flood said, "When the Ventura Ultra first released, it was very well-received and continues to outperform the competition in the high-end portable storage space. Everyone wants greater performance and capacity for large projects and media. With the success of the original Ventura Ultra, we realized that we needed to innovate to offer even greater capacities while retaining high read and write speeds for data transfer."
