At CES, PowerColor is debuting their newest PCS+ model, the PCS+ R9 290. This card features a core speed of 1040MHz, 4GB GDDR5 memory at 1350MHz, Eyefinity and CrossFire support, and DirectX 11.2 support. A wealth of video outputs are available as well that include DL DVI-D, DL DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Also being revealed is the PowerColor PCS+ R9 290X which includes all of the same specifications and features of the PCS+ R9 290, but offers a 10MHz increase in core clock speed. In order to keep both cards stable, the exclusive PowerColor Gold Power Kit is utilized. Both cards feature a metal back plate and metal shroud and offer exclusive PCS+ trio fan design, which includes two sets of aluminum cooling fins, three fans, and five heat pipes. This cooling technology by PowerColor helps keep the cards 24 percent cooler than the reference design they are built on, as well as 17 percent quieter.

No price for either the PCS+ R9 290 or PCS+ R9 290X has been released by PowerColor
