Kingston Digital has announced at CES that they are launching a new USB flash drive that makes personal security a first priority. The DataTraveler Locker+ G3, available in sizes ranging from 8GB to 64GB, hardware encrypts the data stored on the drive and requires a user set password to prevent unauthorized access. Kingston also noted that their USB 3.0 flash drive requires no installed software to allow the encryption or password security to function. Besides security, the new Kingston flash drive boasts competitive data transfer speeds, offering read speeds up to 135MB/s and write speeds up to 40MB/s. Kingston is backing their new DataTraveler Locker+ G3, model DTLPG3, with a five year warranty that offers free live technical support.

No pricing information from Kingston has been released, though select retailers are listed on the company website in order to purchase the DataTraveler Locker+ G3 when it becomes available to consumers.
