As many have expected of this year's CES, hardware partners of Valve have been revealing their machines designed for SteamOS. Among these is CyberPowerPC, a custom gaming PC manufacturer. CyberPower has announced two pre-configured Steam Machines thus far, both expected in the second half of this year, and naturally you can customize them as you wish.

SteamOS is a Linux-based operating system Valve developed specifically for gaming. It has the ability to run Linux-supported games in your Steam game library. To drive those games, the CyberPowerPC Steam Machines sport an AMD Radeon R9 270 and AMD A6-6400K 3.90 GHz or an Intel Core i3-4330 3.50 GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, for the CyberPowerPC Steam Machine A and I, respectively. Both machines have the same 500 GB SATA III HDD, 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, and mITX form-factor motherboards. Both models also come with the Steam Controller, which was developed by Valve.

For games lacking Linux support, SteamOS can stream content from a Windows-based machine, potentially allowing you access to PC gaming in the living room. The Steam Machine A currently has a base price of $499 and the Steam Machine I has a base price of $699.
