Although Roku just recently updated their set-top boxes, Roku has announced at CES that it will sell their own televisions with the set-top box built into the TV. The televisions will feature the familiar Roku interface, offering all of the content available with current Roku set-top boxes. Additionally, Roku TV will come with a new remote that only offers 20 button in total, which is about half the amount of a conventional remote. Television manufacturers TCL and Hisense will build the device, called Roku TV, in sizes ranging from 32-inches to 55-inches. All software updates for the Roku TV will be handled by Roku itself, allowing for all televisions to be updated at the same time instead of in phases.
No price or release date for the Roku TV has been revealed, nor have potential markets that the televisions would be sold in.
