A new programming language is going to be born by Microsoft, which will be used to create a new non-Windows operating system. According to Microsoft researcher Jim Duffy, this new language is a research project and instead of scientific journals, he will use his blog to publish the results. Duffy calls this new language C# for Systems Programming, but other sources refer to it as M#. There were rumors about a non-Windows operating system called Midori project and ZDNet reports that Microsoft permitted a couple of project members to publish more details about the matter. Apparently Duffy is one of those members.
