Update: Hello Games Not Insured for Flood Damage

If you happened to get away from your family and check OCC or Twitter on Christmas, you may have seen that the office of indie developer Hello Games was flooded when a nearby river broke its bank. According to Twitter, the developer found out today that the fine print on its insurance policy states that "if you are in a flood risk zone, you are not insured for flooding."

BAD NEWS! Had a 'hilarious' call with insurer yesterday. Small print is if you are in a flood risk zone, you are not insured for flooding :(

It's not just us but our neighbours as well - some people *live* in those houses. At least we get to go home at night...

On a brighter note, no insurance means we can just wade in and start setting things straight! Hello Games assemble!

At least the four-man team seems to be upbeat through the whole ordeal, though they still haven't provided any insight on whether or not this impacts development of No Man's Sky and/or Joe Danger Infinity.
