If you happened to get away from your family and check OCC or Twitter on Christmas, you may have seen that the office of indie developer Hello Games was flooded when a nearby river broke its bank. According to Twitter, the developer found out today that the fine print on its insurance policy states that "if you are in a flood risk zone, you are not insured for flooding."

At least the four-man team seems to be upbeat through the whole ordeal, though they still haven't provided any insight on whether or not this impacts development of No Man's Sky and/or Joe Danger Infinity.

Damn, hopefully they didn't get a lot of damage to the building and their equipment.

It sounds like everything in their office was destroyed, but hopefully they have off-site backups for their games.

Even though it is a serious thing, they are acting pretty jolly about it lol. It is a shame insurance companies need small print to scam their customers.
