Windows Phone 8 Receives Xbox Music and Xbox Video
In a software release today, Microsoft pushed out its Xbox Music and Xbox Video services to Windows Phone 8 devices. This software release enables Microsoft products, such as the Xbox 360 or Xbox One, Windows 8 computers, and Windows Phone 8, to access the same content across all devices seamlessly. Xbox Music, which is currently in a preview mode for Windows Phone 8, allows for access and streaming of millions of songs, offers downloadable content for offline playback, and features playlist creation with syncing abilities. The final version of Xbox Music is slated to be released next year and it requires a subscription, which costs $9.99 a month to access the aforementioned features.
Xbox Video is an on-demand service that allows for purchasing or renting of television shows and movies across the Xbox, PC, and Windows Phone 8 platforms. Microsoft also allows for offline content delivery for Windows Phone 8 within its Xbox Video service, and content can even be played and paused across all capable devices.
