AMD held its GPU 14 Tech Day Event yesterday, which brought forth some announcements. The biggest one is the new R9 and R7 video cards, with the flagship R9 290X offering a ton of performance for your dollar. There was also the reveal of a new low-level hardware API called Mantle that bypasses DirectX to allow for decreased memory and CPU usage while increasing performance over DirectX. AMD is also planning to fix its Eyefinity and 4K issues sometime in the fall, so that'll be nice when it happens. Moving on from AMD, we have a review on the Thermaltake Chaser A31 case with its mid tower design and blue painted exterior. There's a look at an 8GB kit of DDR3 2400MHz RAM from ADATA, the XPG V2, and also a review on the XSPC Memory Water Block and Side Plate Set to achieve new heights in memory overclocking.
