In February we learned that the PlayStation 4 was real and would be arriving later this year. At E3 we got our first glimpse of the console and learned it'd only cost $399, but still no solid release date. All of that changed, however, at Gamescom earlier today, when Sony announced the PlayStation 4 is arriving on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe and Latin America (press conference available here). It really isn't that long of a wait, and is right around the seventh anniversary of the PlayStation 3's launch. A grand total of 33 games are planned to be released for the PS4 by the end of December this year, including the likes of Killzone: Shadow Fall, Drive Club, Knack, Watch Dogs, Minecraft, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Plenty more are on the way too, with Sony saying over 180 PS4 games are in development, like inFamous: Second Son, The Order: 1886, The Division, The Witcher 3, Destiny, and a plethora of even more indie games.

So, just a few short months from now and the PS4 will be available. Tons of new games are going to be out, gamers can share their play sessions with others via Twitch.tv, and see just how that touchpad on the DualShock 4 is integrated into various games, to name a few. It'll be an exciting time to be sure. So do you have your system pre-ordered or are you going to wait for the initial rush to pass before picking one up?
