ADATA, one of the leading names in memory products, has announced its new XPG V2 series of overclocking DDR3 RAM running at an insane 3100MHz. It's designed to give ultimate performance to gamers and overclockers alike on Intel's new Z87 platform for the Haswell CPUs. ADATA collaborated with ASRock to ensure compatibility on every Z87 motherboard, regardless of manufacturer. Thanks to strict testing and Qualified Vendor List (QVL) certification, the XPG V2 3100 can be directly overclocked to 3100MHz using Intel XMP. It's an immediate boost to system performance and one of the easiest times you'll have when overclocking. Memory bandwidth can hit 24,800MB/s, so not only do you get a 3100MHz frequency but crazy fast bandwidth, too.

The ADATA XPG V2 DDR3 3100 comes in an 8GB capacity (2x4GB) and supports dual channel mode. At its default DDR3 1333 speeds, it has a CAS latency of 9-9-9-24 at 1.5V, while at DDR3 3100 speeds it's at 12-14-14-36 at 1.65V. An exact price and release date weren't mentioned, but expect that before long.
