Mushkin Launches New PCIe SSD

Mushkin has announced its latest PCIe solid state drive, the Scorpion Deluxe, and in celebration has decided to run a contest tying in with the upcoming movie Pacific Rim. The contest runs until August 17, 2013 and prizes include a home theater system, Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop, and Mushkin prize packs. The Scorpion Deluxe will cater to power users such as multimedia designers, with up to 21,000MB/s of throughput and 100,000 Input/Output Operations per Second. The drive will be available with capacities of 240GB, 480GB, 960GB, and 1920GB. Director of Global Marketing Nicolas Villalobos said, "Our customers can now manage data faster, safer and more efficiently. Whether for digital content creation, virtualization, database acceleration, motion picture visual effects or your own application, the Mushkin Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD is always ready."
