Today, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH announced that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for Windows PC via digital download only. Though the PC port was technically confirmed last month by Hideo Kojima, the series creator, today's press release was the first official statement.
Not much else was stated that we don't already know about the game, but there was this tidbit concerning the PC's capabilities: "The in-game technology will push the boundaries of graphics, style and lightning-speed action at a blistering 60fps on most modern PCs." Sadly, unlike Wednesday's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Ultimate Edition PC reveal, no Steam page exists for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance yet, so who knows what Konami's definition of "modern PC" actually is. There's also no mention of a release date, only saying that it will be "released digitally soon." Hopefully we'll learn more next week at E3. Revengeance was already released for PS3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year.
