Kingston has announced the latest addition to the SSDNow series of solid state drives, the KC300, with the goal to provide fast transfers and maximum power efficiency. At the heart of the power efficiency is an LSI SandForce SF-2281 processor which also gives users read and write speeds up to 525MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively. The drive uses a maximum of 2.9W during operation, making it a great choice for mobile or power conscious users. The KC300 will be available in capacities of 60GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB, and 480GB. SSD Business Manager Ariel Perez said, "Kingston’s new SSDNow KC300 is designed to help business, mobile and power users extend the lifespan and significantly improve the performance of their PC or notebook with higher speeds, greater stability and reliability."
