The newest Tomb Raider game, which reboots the franchise to show Lara Croft's beginnings, released early last week to much critical praise. However, PC gamers running NVIDIA cards weren't able to play the game with maximum settings due to the unfortunate problem with the company not receiving the new game early enough. Now that some time has passed, NVIDIA's engineers were able to come up with a new beta driver to deliver the performance GeForce users have come to expect. The 314.21 beta driver improves stability and performance on all GeForce GTX GPUs in Tomb Raider by up to 45% at 1920x1080 and 60% at 2560x1600. Those numbers are with a GTX 680 at those resolutions, but gamers should expect gains with whichever GeForce card they are running.
