Google Planning to Open Retail Stores
Google is rumored to be following in the footsteps of Apple in planning to create its own retail stores to sell its products. According to "an extremely reliable source," Google hopes to have stores in several major metropolitan areas in time for the holiday season. By having a physical retail presence, Google will be able to offer more people a chance to have a hands-on experience with its products and hopefully increase interest and sales. Google already has small stores at Best Buy locations, two U.K. stores, and a limited number of airports. It is also believed that the stores could have something to do with the future release of Google Glass and other Google X projects.
