Many of you probably use some Logitech products in your daily life, be it a computer mouse, keyboard, speakers, or webcam. Some may even have a Harmony remote or controller for a game console, but unfortunately those two product lines are going to go by the wayside. Logitech announced earlier in the day that the Harmony universal remotes and gaming console peripherals will be discontinued by the end of 2013. A net loss of $195 million and a 14% drop in product sales are to blame for the discontinuation, with Logitech CEO Bracken P. Darrell stating the company will focus more on tablet accessories. Speaker docks and digital video security systems are also set for discontinuation by year's end, while Darrell said Logitech will keep up with the PC peripheral market. PC gaming peripherals appear safe for now, but there's no telling if the ax will be brought down on those before long.
