If you haven't tried Windows 8 yet but want to purchase a copy of the software, you should probably choose to soon. After the first of February this year, the Windows 8 Pro upgrade will cost $200, instead of the $40 special offer currently available to users with a previous version of Windows installed. The Windows 8 Standard upgrade, however, will cost just $120. The change in pricing follows the end of the special offer announced at Windows 8's release to those with a previous version of Windows installed.
Users with any Windows 8 preview installed (be it Consumer Preview, Developer Preview or Release Preview) will also experience system restarts every hour until a standard RTM version of Windows is installed.
