Bing Launches Media Campaign Against Google

Category: General News

Microsoft has launched a website aimed to expose and collate all of Google's privacy concerns in an attempt to entice users over to its own search engine, Bing. Microsoft make many claims throughout the website, including allegations that all of Google's shopping results are now paid advertisements. The video below compares Google's 'relevance' ranking to 'how much they are getting paid'.

Microsoft would like you to think that Bing is simply an honest search engine not corrupted by money. The Bing blog yesterday compared Google to Ebenezer Scrooge, the main character in Charles Dickens' beloved Christmas story 'A Christmas Carol'. It is up to you to decide if Bing have overstepped the mark with this campaign, or if it's just a different way of promoting the search engine, but for one thing, it's certainly attracted a lot of media attention.
