Nintendo Wii U Sold at a Loss

The recently released Nintendo Wii U represents a first for the company, it is the first piece of hardware that will be sold at a loss by Nintendo. There have been several other companies that do this with hardware, including the Amazon Kindle, in hopes that the content sold after will make up the cost. Luckily for Nintendo, consumers only need to buy a single game to make up the deficit. I don't know of anyone that has bought a console without buying a game, and Nintendo should have no problem breaking even at a minimum.
