Considerable strides have been made to accommodate SFF gaming with some very impressive chassis and hardware selections, but enthusiasts still have to contend with a few tradeoffs when going the LAN box route. Cooler Master wants to clamp down on that gap with a smaller iteration of its High Air Flow series, the HAF XB. Its cooling pedigree is evident with the casing's large mesh top and front panels that house two 120mm front fans to allow for a steady front to rear airflow. Coupled with a removable horizontal motherboard tray as well as space for extra fans at the rear (1x120mm and 2x80mm) and top (1x200mm), the rugged case looks all set to dissipate heat with ease.
You won't even have to worry about choosing which motherboard to use as the chassis is built to handle ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX form factors. Its modestly-sized compartments also allow for enough room to do a 3-way SLI/CF with high-end graphics cards, support CPU coolers up to 180mm in height, and can even fit a 240mm radiator that still provides enough clearance to spare. We have our own review of the Cooler Master HAF XB right here, so check it out and see if this is the no-compromise LAN box that you've been dreaming of.
