Some new games are on the horizon, which means time for new video card drivers. NVIDIA has released the 310.54 beta drivers that the graphics giant recommends for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed III. The drivers offer a performance boost in various games on the GeForce 400/500/600 series, but work just fine from the GeForce 8 series on up. Performance in Black Ops 2 can improve by as much as 26% with a GeForce GTX 680 over the 306.97 WHQL drivers, with an improvement of 18% in AC3. There are also improvements for Battlefield 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, Dragon Age II, StarCraft II, and others. New or updated SLI profiles have been included for DiRT 3, Dota 2, Hawken, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, Natural Selection 2, and more.

The 310.54 beta drivers can be downloaded from the NVIDIA GeForce website, while the full release notes can be viewed here.
