Nintendo has not been doing very well of late, as it has reported financial losses for the first half of this year. Net sales are down 6.8% over the same time last year, with net income dropping nearly $350,000 compared to last year. Sales numbers are pretty large, with 22 million 3DS handhelds sold in total and nearly 100 million (97.2m) Wii consoles sold. However, it seems everyone is still waiting for Nintendo's next big thing, just like last year, but luckily the Wii U is nearly here. Hopefully the new system can get Nintendo's numbers back to where they were when the Wii first launched, but even still, the company has dropped its predictions for the remainder of the year from $250 million to $75 million.
