Samsung and Apple have been embroiled in a legal dispute for quite some time now, with the sides going back and forth so many times your head will spin trying to figure it all out. Luckily, this article is not about some new legal action but rather a potential strategic move. A new report states Samsung will cancel its LCD screen contract with Apple next year and no longer supply the Cupertino company. An anonymous Samsung executive said the company will make up for it by using more LCD panels in its own electronics division and ship some to Amazon for use in its Kindle Fire line. All of this can be considered a rumor for now, but it should be noted that Apple has been trying to reduce its reliance on Samsung in recent months. The new iPhone 5 doesn't even use a Samsung-designed processor, so the apparent lack of Samsung LCDs in the future is not too far fetched. Still, we'll need to wait and see if this rumor pans out.
