Super Talent has released the second generation DataGuardian secure flash drive. The USB 3.0 device features read and write speeds up to 85MB and 40MB, respectively, and is backwards compatible with older USB standards. Upon the first use of the device, the user is prompted to create a password, which is then required for all future accesses. The DataGuardian also prevents malware auto-run attacks which helps to prevent malware from spreading to all computers a flash drive is plugged into. VP of Advanced Technology Shimon Chen said, “Flash drives today are rarely secured, so we created a USB 3.0 flash drive that makes protecting your files and data easy and straightforward, at a price point that is affordable for businesses and consumers alike. We are proud of this addition to our USB 3.0 flash drive family.” The second generation DataGuardian is available in capacities of 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB.
