The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim recently received the 1.8 beta update on the PC, which has the usual assortment of bug fixes and stability improvements. However, the source code for the beta update has a little something else in it, as Bethesda forum user Mardoxx discovered. Hidden in the source code is some information that could be for the next Skyrim DLC, which may be called Dragonborn. The new DLC, if accurate, sees players return to the independent island of Solstheim just off the coast of Morrowind, which players last visited in the Bloodmoon expansion for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Other lines in the source code reveal some familiar armor types, like Bonemold, Chitin, Nordic, and Stalhrim (a raw form was used in Bloodmoon to make weapons and Ice Armor), the towns/locations of Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag, and Telvanni Tower, and a little something called dragon mounts. There's no telling if the dragon mount is scripted or something like horses, so we'll just have to see how that pans out. Another part of the source code mentions PS3 downloadable content, so maybe Bethesda is close to fixing the issue preventing Dawnguard and Hearthfire from appearing on Sony's console.
All of this is rumor for now, but if you recall a similar source code find revealed some information on the Dawnguard DLC. The majority of that leak turned out to be to true, so maybe it'll be the same for this DLC. Bethesda did trademark the Dragonborn name last month, so fingers are crossed. I would love the chance to see the Bonemold and Chitin armor back in the game, as those were two of my favorites from Morrowind.
