Over the last few weeks or so, NZXT has been teasing a new Phantom case on its Facebook page. Some cryptic questions were asked and a few teaser images appeared, but finally we know what the company has been cooking up. Earlier today, NZXT introduced the new Phantom 820 full tower case, the latest version of its popular Phantom line. The 820 model has a familiar shape but an entirely new package, with more cooling than you know what to do with and enough room to fit  some of the most ambitious builds you can think of. Three 200mm fans and one 140mm fan come standard, but nine total fans be installed to keep your system chilled. There is even room for two 140mm or three 120mm water cooling radiators up top. Two 140mm or 120mm radiators can be installed on the bottom, with a 120/140mm on the side and pivot position. That pivot position is in the interior of the Phantom 820 to fit a 120 or 140mm fan for directional cooling.

Six hard drives can be installed in the interior cage, which can be removed to allow for bigger video cards. Nine expansion slots dot the rear, while the front has two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, audio in/out, an SD card reader, and a "state-of-the-art" 4x15W fan controller. The rear I/O panel includes a white LED light to help you easily find the correct port on your motherboard, so no more guessing if that's a microphone jack or subwoofer jack. NZXT has integrated a HUE lighting system into the case, which lets you illuminate the case's interior or exterior with any number of colors. The right side panel is extruded to allow for 36mm of clearance, which should come in very handy while routing cables. NZXT has even included a pedastal on the bottom to help get your Phantom 820 off the ground to help your power supply, radiator, or fans breathe better.

The NZXT Phantom 820 can be purchased from NZXT's store or your favorite (r)etailer for $249.99. It's available in GunMetal, MatteBlack, or White, and should be arriving soon.

I've seen it in the flesh & it's brilliant although a little expensive.
