The tale of the missing DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PS3 is a long one, first with the possibility that Dawnguard may never come and then the news Bethesda was working with Sony to figure out the problem. Now some more information has come out, as Bethesda is taking responsibility for the lack of Skyrim DLC on the PS3. The studio's vice president of public relations and marketing, Pete Hines, tweeted, "we've never blamed anyone or anything. It's our problem, and it's on us to solve it." He later went on to add that the Dawnguard and Hearthfire DLC isn't performing well on the PS3: "the performance isn't good enough in all cases. for most folks, it'd be fine. For some, it wouldn't be."
That isn't the best of news for PS3 Skyrim owners, but at least Bethesda is communicating about the problem. Hopefully the DLC can be made stable enough to release, as I'm sure plenty of PS3 gamers want to play as a Vampire Lord, hunt down the vampires, or just sit back in their newly constructed home. Keep it tuned for any new information and a potential resolution to the problem.
