Back in 2008, a new RPG called Mount & Blade arrived that gave players an open world game with a medieval setting. You could do whatever you wanted in the game, from exploring the land to commanding vast armies. In 2010, Mount & Blade: Warband launched and brought with it graphical improvements, enhanced combat mechanics, and multiplayer battles between 64 gamers. Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword added firearms to the mix, while the recently launched Warband: Napoleonic Wars expands the multiplayer side of Warband even further. Today, developer Tale Worlds has announced a brand new entry called Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.
Details are scarce and the teaser trailer, included below, simply gets your blood pumping. All we really know is Bannerlord expands upon the franchise with bigger battles that are bloodier and more intense than any of the past entries. It will also feature "many exciting and highly requested new features," but we just have to wait to hear what those are over the "coming months."
