Guild Wars 2: It's not About Rushing to the Endgame

Judging by the huge number of gamers enjoying the time spent playing Guild Wars 2 since its release, it's probably safe to say that ArenaNet has done a pretty fantastic job of delivering the goods to MMO fans out there. But the thing with most MMOs is that there's this need to rush to reach the level cap, making the rest of the game irrelevant once the endgame has been reached. That's not the case with Guild Wars 2, according to its developers. Compelling content has been spread out across all levels of the game, to make the journey towards the finish line a more rewarding payoff. "We've introduced game elements that you'd normally associate with 'endgame' at every level and every possible opportunity," said ArenaNet's Mike Zadorojny. Players will then be given a variety of interesting gameplay choices as they progress throughout GW2. "The dynamic events become larger, the battles more spectacular, the circumstances more dire," Zadorojny adds. So while the endgame of Guild Wars 2 might be an epic of breathtaking proportions, the journey towards getting there might be just as fun too.
