Among the Wii U price and release date information from earlier today were some gaming announcements. Nintendo and Platinum Games, already at work on The Wonderful 101, revealed Bayonetta 2 will be a Wii U-exclusive when it arrives in March 2013. The original Bayonetta debuted on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in January, 2010, but its sequel was supposedly canceled by Sega during its restructuring. However, whether or not it was canceled is no longer a concern, as Nintendo is publishing the sequel. It is going to be interesting to see how Platinum Games uses the GamePad to control Bayonetta, as the first game is extremely similar to Devil May Cry. The touchscreen use may be a little difficult during the fast action sequences, but I am sure Platinum has it all figured out. We just have to see how it comes together next March.
