Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man, is hard at work on Soul Sacrifice for the PlayStation Vita, but today he unveiled a brand new project code named Yaiba. Inafune's studio Comcept made the announcement earlier today, but few details were discussed, not even the platforms. What we do know is that Yaiba is a zombie action game because the fans have demanded a new one from Inafune. He served as producer on Resident Evil, Dead Rising, and Onimusha, so when fans ask for a new "Inafune zombie game," he felt obliged to answer. While he is not at liberty to go into specifics, Inafune said he is "confident you will enjoy this new concept consisting of zombies with action, ninjas and mechs." A short teaser video for Yaiba was shown, which has a few short snippets of gameplay mixed in. The game sounds like it can be promising, but we need a lot more information to get a better idea.

The very brief snippets of gameplay look pretty sweet. I've been looking forward to Soul Sacrifice...will have to keep my eye on this as well.
