Fans who can't wait for Legendary Picture's live action Mass Effect movie might be temporarily sated with Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, an anime prequel that chronicles the actions of Shepard's ME3 ally James Vega. As with Mass Effect 3, the brawny Vega will still be voiced by actor Freddie Prinze Jr. The anime promises a new glimpse into the Mass Effect saga from a story written by Star Wars: The Clone Wars scribe Henry Gilroy, with animation handled by the team who worked on Ghost in the Shell. Vega and his team of elite Special Forces soldiers are assigned to protect an isolated colony against an invasion from the Collectors, whose sole purpose is to abduct civilians for fatally deadly experiments. Mass Effect: Paragon Lost will be released on December 28 for Blu-Ray and DVD.
