At the end of August, Bethesda said there is a chance The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Dawnguard may not come to the PlayStation 3, which is something no one wanted to hear. The studio did say it was working with Sony on the matter, and today there is more clarification on that. In a recent interview, Sony vice president of public relations Adam Boyes understands the pain PS3 gamers are going through with the lack of DLC for Skyrim. He stated both Sony and Bethesda are working closely together to try and get everything solved, which hopefully means there is something positive before long. Boyes did not offer any timetable for a fix, but at least there is progress of some kind.

We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda—and with all of our partners—to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way. Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can't promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working.

I imagine Skyrim PS3 gamers are eagerly awaiting Dawnguard, especially since the second DLC, Hearthfire, released just last week for the Xbox 360. Skyrim has had its share of problems on Sony's console, so hopefully the lack of DLC is remedied shortly.
