NVIDIA Shows Off Unreal Engine 3 On Windows RT TabletCategory: Mobile

NVIDIA partnered with Epic Games to bring the Unreal Engine 3 to Windows 8 and Windows RT, and the joint effort was demonstrated at IFA 2012 with Epic Citadel running on an ASUS Vivo Tab RT. Windows RT will be available on October 26, and the Unreal Engine 3 port was made available to developers last week. VP of Epic Games Mark Rein pointed out that, “The Unreal Engine 3-powered ‘Epic Citadel’ demonstration for Windows RT tablets implements the full DirectX 9 pipeline, with shaders and materials, all running beautifully on Tegra 3.” The demo looks really great, so be sure to check out the video below.
