Dead Space 3 Arrives on February 5 - New Trailer Out Now

Dead Space 3 has been announced for a while now, but there was no solid release date attached to it. There was a vague mention of March 2013, but now EA has nailed down a specific time. Dead Space 3 will arrive on February 5 in the United States and February 8 in Europe for the PC, PS3, and 360. The new entry in the survival horror series will add co-op for the first time to let you combat Necromorphs with a friend. Developer Visceral Games is also adding in weapons crafting, which has been a much requested feature for the Dead Space series. Protagonist Isaac Clarke will be able to scavenge for materials and combine them at a workbench to create all new lethal weapons. Maybe you want to put a scope on your plasma gun or even a grenade launcher to everyone's favorite plasma cutter.

The possibilities should hopefully be endless with weapon crafting, but if that is not enough then you can enter the Tools of Terror contest to design your own. The winner will get their item in the game and even their likeness as a non-player character, so go ahead and enter here!

The new trailer from Gamescom is available below, but I warn you, it is fairly haunting. We get a look at the story of Dead Space 3, with Isaac exploring a derelict ship above an ice planet. The game will eventually take us to that ice planet, and I can only imagine the horrors awaiting us all.
