Cooler Master has announced that it will be adding horizontal vapor chambers to a select few heatsinks in the V series. The addition of the chambers will have several benefits, starting with an eight-fold increase in heat spread when compared to copper. As a result of increasing the contact area, more heatpipes will be available for use, allowing for even further heat dissipation. All of this will allow users to use fans that produce less noise to achieve the same level of cooling, or continue using high RPM fans for increased performance. The first heatsink to use the horizontal vapor chambers will be the V4 GT, which is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2013.
